Legends of Elumia / AVStar Capital Group AMA — February 22, 2022
AVStar Capital Group kindly invited us to share some insights into Legends of Elumia to its large community, and answer some of their most pressing questions. We were happy to do so, and here’s what was revealed.
The content has been slightly edited for clarity and length.
Can you introduce yourself to the community? What is your background and how did the team build your project?
Certainly — I’m Brenin, working on the Community team here at Elumia. The background to the game is that this team has been developing high profile games (mostly MMORPGs) for many years.
First and foremost, we want to build the most high quality, compelling game possible, melding all the depth of engagement that incorporating Web3 opportunities, metaverses, and NFTs can offer.
Great. It’s a delight for us to connect with you and Elumia, and I’m sure the community is getting excited about it. Can you briefly describe what your project is to us?
At its core, the project is about creating a truly amazing game experience. It’s a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, incorporating all the hallmarks of adventure, exploration, combat, and crafting that players typically expect from that kind of game.
But it also allows players to own land, build structures, engage in the economy in a more meaningful way than these games have allowed in the past. So you will be visiting dungeons, teaming with friends, and exploring both the world and, specifically, Elumia City.
Thanks for the great response. Can you explain to us what makes your project different from your competitors?
Purely my personal viewpoint, I think that because the game is made by gamers, with a background in developing games like Final Fantasy, Guild Wars, D&D, Warhammer, and many more, we bring a much more experienced game-making team to the project.
We are able to build the game on the back of tried and true, battle-tested server architecture, alongside the aforementioned extensive experience simply making games. And while all of those new options and opportunities for involvement through engaging ownership are certainly core to the development, we’re making a fun game first.
That’s incredible! What are the major milestones your project has achieved so far?
Milestone 1: Get started! Milestone 1a: Let people know about it! Seriously, while development has been underway for some time, the big milestones for us include getting the game into players’ hands. And that’s due to begin with an Alpha at the end of the quarter where players, fans, enthusiasts, investors…will be able to see a snapshot of what we’re building. Beyond that, there is a roadmap on our website!
Can you share with us what are your further plans for your project?
Well, many are waiting on our TGE, which is coming soon. Then there’s the alpha. We’ll use feedback from that to feed into the game design. It’s important to note for anyone unfamiliar with MMOs in general that they are, almost by definition, big! There is a lot of content to build, and given the lore that we’re developing for the game, many stories to craft and meld.
We’re also working diligently to expand the volume of content we can share with the community through our TG channel and growing Discord community. We have internal developers playing the game daily, capturing parts that we can then share, along with background showcasing the dev team at work.
I see you use Solana to build the project. Can you explain for choice and whether the project will implement other blockchain platforms?
Solana works for us on a number of different levels. Fast, secure, and very low cost are factors that are important to us and, vitally, to our players. Solana provides those elements immediately.
And, since it’s written in Rust, it suits us from a game development standpoint as we code in C++.
As for other chains? It is definitely something we are considering for the future, but we don’t have anything more detailed to share about that right now.

Here are some of the questions that we received from Avstar Capital Twitter users.
There are many super hackers so security, scalability, and data privacy are three aspects that are very important. How will the team handle any unfortunate security problem? Do you have an audit?
We know it’s a very important question for our community. We’re very confident in the technology that we have to protect users against nefarious agents involved in hacking or other breaches of security.
It’s important to know that our team has extensive experience building MMORPG games, including server infrastructure, its inherent security requirements, and more. So we’re not starting from scratch here. We are well aware of concerns, but very confident in our ability to address them.
We’ve had live game servers running for over 10 years, so they are battle-tested from the actions of people trying to unhinge the security systems. So that robust architecture is evolving to very high security standards.
And also we are audited by Armors Labs.
Can I buy your tokens right now, and if so, which wallets do you support? Can you tell me about your team’s history? How will your team complete this project in the midst of the pandemic?
The token is not yet launched (but that is happening in the very near future… stand by!) Since ELU is Solana-based we do recommend Phantom wallet.
On the team’s history, we have extensive experience working on very prominent MMORPGs.
Like many projects we’ve adjusted to workflow dominated by lockdowns and while we had effective work-from-home processes in place for a long time, the vast majority of the team is now in-office, heads-down, working hard on bringing Elumia to life.

Do you have any plans to attract non-crypto investors to join your project? What are the plans to raise awareness about your project in the non-crypto space.
Most definitely. This is a MMORPG created and built by gamers. We’re building something here that we want gamers to play and maybe make crypto investors gamers and crypto-curious gamers into crypto fans. We understand that those two groups are not necessarily on the same page at the same time along a game’s development pathway, but we hope that the game speaks for itself to both the gaming community and the crypto enthusiasts who have shown so much interest so far.

Do you have a whitepaper?
Our whitepaper is available through our website and Discord channel.

Is your project a community only for English speaking countries or for users of other languages?
We will launch in English. Our Discord server has channels for a large number of languages currently, and we’re adding native speakers to our moderator group to support that. We’ll then work to incorporate other languages into the game post-launch.

Many projects have problems with UI / UX and this turns off new users. How do you plan to improve the interaction with new users and with users outside the crypto space?
Interesting angle as we tend to think that the challenge in UI/UX design might be with crypto users, not the core gaming crowd who will likely be familiar with the control mechanics and established norms of interface design.
But this, at its core, comes down to the experience our team has with past projects and all the lessons learned, situations witnessed, and solutions implemented.
We’re extremely confident that players of all experience levels will be able to engage with Elumia quickly and seamlessly so they can explore and interact with the world and friends.

Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? Can you share us with the inspiration for the name?
Imagination! Game developers and creators are largely storytellers and the platform for telling stories is open to so many opportunities. The backstory and lore to Elumia City, the Infinite Tower, and its history all lend themselves to a deep, engaging story that will pull players along while also allowing them to simply live and engage in the game world.
There you have it. The latest in the line of initial AMAs where we reveal what we can! Much more to come and be sure to join the conversation through all these channels:
